Questions we get often, and their answers:
- What is Falcon Autosport? Falcon Autosport is a High Performance Driving Education organization. We teach how to drive on actual race tracks, with skills that are transferable to road use and racing. We do not teach racing, but, we teach skills that are applicable to racing. We stop short of wheel-to-wheel racing because we don't want to need to repair cars, but, we do teach life-saving, life-changing skills that will make you a better driver, on- and off-track.
- Are helmets necessary? No, road cruises do not require a helmet
- When is the next event? Check the Upcoming Events tab for full details on the next event
- What payment methods are accepted? Email/Electronic Money Transfer, PayPal, cash and credit cards are accepted (PP/CC +4% fee)
- Is my car welcome? If it is street legal, it is welcome.
- No, but, really, is this car welcome? If you're not sure, just send an email
- Are motorcycles welcome? Yes
- This is wrong with my car, is it still safe enough? If you get pulled over by police, that's on you. There's nothing we can do to prevent you from getting a ticket. For safety, we do ask that cars adhere to obvious minimum safety standards, like having functioning brakes, indicators, and so on.
- Can I get an instructor to ride along in my car? Yes, absolutely. Include that you desire an instructor during registration
- Are you hiring new staff? This largely depends on event and position; send a CV and we'll give you a chance with equal opportunity
- How safe are Falcon Autosport events? No one has ever been hurt at a Falcon Autosport event. We try to keep it that way!
- How do I register? Email Drew at drew@falconautosport.com with all of the information required for that event.
- Do you really have a driver's meeting for an on-the-road cruise? Yes, we do. We discuss safety, staying grouped together, and a few things about business.
- Can two people drive one car at a Falcon Autosport event? Yes. it's possible.
- What should I bring to an event? A positive, social attitude!
- Does Falcon Autosport run in the rain? We believe that driving in the rain is the best sort of practice you can get for car control and driver development. If it rains, we continue on as normal. The only thing that changes is the approach and that we will have a second driver's meeting in extreme conditions (extremely slippery) to discuss how to control the car in the slippery conditions, improving visibility, and what happens if thunder or lightning enters the area.
- What about your refund policy? With enough notice, tickets are transferable. You can transfer the tickets to someone else by letting us know that you've sold the tickets. You can also transfer them to future events with enough advanced notice and they generally never expire. What's a registration one day, is a registration another day, period.
