FAQ, Staff, and Vision
Some of our staff members, our vision, and questions frequently asked about us
FAQ:
What kinds of cars are welcome?
All cars are welcome! Convertibles are allowed. Convertibles, sedans, coupés - all require that the driver wear a helmet. That's the rule
What are the first things I should get/do to prepare my car for track days?
We strongly suggest to pick up a helmet first. If you want to use our rentals, that's okay - but supply is limited and they may not be comfortable. We try our best to get comfortable helmets but each head is different. After that, if you really want something to improve your car's performance? Start with high-temperature racing brake fluid like Motul RBF600 (although this must be flushed every season or two), high performance brake pads (although these don't work as well in the very cold weather of Canadian winters), and possibly an aggressive sports alignment (although this will accelerate tire wear in cars that are daily-driven or driven on long road-trips). Still want more? Fresh gearbox oil, differential oil, engine oil, an oil cooler - these things will make your car more reliable. Still looking for even more performance? Well-mannered higher performance tires, like maybe the Hankook Ventus RS4, Falken Azenis RT-615k+, Toyo Proxes R1R, stiffer suspension, sway bars, bolt-on power-adders like intake, exhaust, tune are optional.
What's the purpose of track days?
Thank you for asking! This question is often overlooked. Our primary concern is having fun. Second concern is improving as a driver, and eventually taking these new skills that we have learned on-track to the road. Falcon Autosport staff have had people write heartfelt "thank you!" notes or messages for teaching some track-skill that saved their life on the public roads. Our third concern, we love making new friends, networking, improving people's careers, and helping make dreams happen. Check out the Falcon Autosport ladder system section below for more details.
What is Falcon Autosport's vision for the future?
Falcon Autosport aims to create an Ontario Track Day Community where high performance driving education is affordable, safe, fun and relatively family-friendly. We aim to create an inclusive, positive atmosphere where everyone is included, respected and appreciated, while keeping costs down. We view ourselves as the first step for many new track day first-timers. We've had over 160 first-time track day guests, and most have continued to attend track days in Ontario or surrounding areas.
